Delaware Park Arabian Awards

This awards program was established to acknowledge the most accomplished at Delaware Park. Points will be earned for wins in all classes of races and for finishing first or second in stakes races. Awards will be given in both horse and human categories for areas such as most entries, most wins and most stakes wins. Point levels and Award categories are listed below. The award winners were presented with trophies at a banquet held at the end of the meet. Many thanks to Bobbi Patscheider of Arabian Finish Line for tabulating the results.

2 points - $5,000 Claimers
3 points - $10,000 Claimers
3 points - Maiden Special Weights
4 points - $12,500 and above Claimers
4 points - Starter Allowances
4 points - Conditional Allowance
5 points - Allowance
5 points - Second in 3-year-old and 4-year-old Stakes
6 points - Stakes Races with a purse less than $20,000
6 points - 3-year-old and 4-year-old Stakes
7 points - Second in Handicap Stakes
8 points - Second in Handicap Stakes carrying 128 pounds or more
9 points - Handicap Stakes Race
10 points - Handicap Stakes Race carrying 128 pounds or more
